February 1, 2020
We are working hard with Appalachian State to get registration open for Blue Ridge Scottish Dance School. The school will run Sunday, July 5 – Saturday breakfast, July 11. However, since many of the dancers will want to stay for the Grandfather Highland Games, the school is allowing you to stay Saturday night and check out on Sunday, July 12. Meals after Saturday breakfast will be on your own. There will be a shuttle from Boone to the games field.
When registration opens, you will see the dates of July 5-12. If you cannot stay for the games, you can check out on Saturday, but we would encourage you to stay and enjoy the games and one more day of fellowship with the other dancers.
We are offering a magnetic plastic name tag as an option to purchase for $8. It will be on the registration form. If you purchase it this year, there will be no need to order again when you return to BRSDS in the future, so I encourage you to do so. The design looks great with the logo of the mountains running across it and the name easily read on top.
Once registration begins, please know that we are limiting the number of full week dancers to 100 and half week (arriving on Wednesday) to 20. This is due to the size of the dance floor. We will keep a wait list in the event of a cancellation.
The board has been working hard and will continue to do so to make this first Blue Ridge Scottish Dance Week a success.
Looking forward to this summer!
