We met through a mutual friend at an evening worship night at Regent University in January of 2019. We soon became friends through running into each other on campus, hammocking, tree-climbing, and barefooted adventuring. 

 

The fall semester of that year, John asked Ginger to pursue a deeper friendship with him. After many conversations about spiritual and mental compatibility, learning about conflict resolution, and learning how to communicate with each other, we officially started our relationship together in March of 2020. 

 

We worked the summer in Colorado and spent two months apart while Ginger kept working there and John returned to school. Happily reunited in October, we continued to see each other on weekends and invest in each other and our community at church, Regent, and camp (Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center). 

 

In 2021 we grew together while leading a ministry leadership training program together and visiting a camp in Maine. Sometime in the fall, we both came to a place where we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives loving and serving each other. 

 

This February (2022), John designed a beautiful day of hiking and adventuring before proposing to Ginger at her camp in the evening, with the help of camp friends to pull it all off. She said yes!

 

We are thrilled to keep on learning and growing together and would love nothing more than to celebrate our union with all of the wonderful friends and family who have helped us along the way. May the Lord bless and keep you all until we see you. :)
